BUSINESS APPLICATION: SMARTDRAW

The business software I chose was SmartDraw. This software is used to create any types of charts or graphs you may need. SmartDraw creates your charts or graphs for you. You simply give the information needed and what type of chart and SmartDraw will draw it for you. It gives you great graphs that can be used for business presentations. There is a free trial for this software.
I chose this application because it relates to my major. I am a psychology major and in this field many graphs and charts are used. They are used to show relations between things and how well a specific treatment may be working. It is also good to show the statistics of certain ideas. I will use this application a lot when I am in grad school.

EDUCATION APPLICATION: TIGERBYTES

The education application I chose was Tigerbytes. Tigerbytes is used by students and faculty alike that are affiliated with Louisiana State University. Tigerbytes is a personal storage file that can be accessed through your paws account. It can store many documents including papers written for class or power points created for a presentation. You can access the file from any computer which eliminates the worry of forgetting the hardcopy or disc.
I use this application a lot. I do not have a printer at home so it is very easy for me to just save my documents to tigerbytes on my home computer so I then can go to the library and print it out. This is also good for when you have a presentation due. You can just save your power point to tigerbytes and not have to worry about bringing the disc it would have been saved on.

Cell Phone Technology:AT&T Navigator

The cell phone application I chose was AT&T Navigator. This application is great with helping to find directions for where you need to go. It offers turn by turn directions with its voice activated or on screen directions. It also keeps up with traffic alerts and can reroute you very easily. You can search for over 10 million listings and have directions to the place easily. You can download this application to almost any AT&T phone.
I chose this application because I have personally been saved with this. This is perfect for people who are direction illiterate and don’t know how to get somewhere. Just type in your destination and it will tell you exactly where to go. It even tells you if you have missed a turn. It is easy to use and very helpful.
